How to use the products

How to a Oscilloscope Multimeter?

To use the OM-702S oscilloscope multimeter, follow these general steps. Please refer to the user manual for specific instructions and safety precautions:

  1. Power On the Device:

    • Turn on the OM-702S by pressing the power button. Ensure it is fully charged or connected to a power source.
  2. Select the Desired Mode:

    • Use the mode selection button to switch between the oscilloscope and multimeter functions. The display should indicate the current mode.
  3. Oscilloscope Mode:

    • Connect Probes: Attach the oscilloscope probes to the device and connect the probe tips to the test points on the circuit you wish to measure.
    • Set Parameters: Adjust the time base (horizontal scale) and voltage division (vertical scale) using the control knobs or buttons to suit your measurement needs.
    • Capture Waveforms: Observe the waveform on the display. Use the auto-scaling feature or manually adjust the settings for a clear view.
    • Measure Waveforms: Use the measurement functions to obtain data such as frequency, amplitude, and period. Some devices have a "One-Key Auto" function for automatic waveform measurement.
  4. Multimeter Mode:

    • Select Measurement Type: Use the function dial or buttons to choose the measurement type (e.g., voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, diode, temperature, continuity).
    • Connect Test Leads: Insert the test leads into the appropriate ports (COM, VΩ, mA, A) based on the measurement type.
    • Perform Measurement: Touch the test lead probes to the points in the circuit where you want to measure. The display will show the measurement results.
    • Read Results: Read the values on the display. Ensure you understand the units (e.g., volts, amps, ohms) and the measurement range.
  5. Data Storage and Export:

    • If the OM-702S supports data storage and export, follow the manual’s instructions to save measurements and transfer data to your computer or other devices.
  6. Battery Management:

    • Monitor the battery level and recharge the device when needed. The OM-702S typically includes a rechargeable battery with several hours of usage per charge.
  7. Safety Precautions:

    • Always follow safety guidelines to prevent electric shock or damage to the device. Ensure the device is rated for the voltage and current levels you are measuring.
    • Do not touch exposed metal parts when measuring high voltages.
  8. Shutdown:

    • After completing your measurements, turn off the device to save battery life.

For detailed instructions and advanced features, always refer to the user manual provided with the OM-702S oscilloscope multimeter.

How to Use the Gas Leak Detector?

1. Preparation:

  • Battery Installation: Ensure that the batteries are installed correctly. The GLD6308 includes 2 batteries. Open the battery compartment and insert the batteries according to the indicated polarity.
  • Power On: Press the power button to turn on the device. The device will emit a short beep indicating it is powered on.

2. Warm-Up:

  • After turning on the device, wait approximately 35 seconds for it to warm up. During this time, the metal probe will heat up, making the gas detection more sensitive. You may notice the alarm light flashing and hear a series of beeps.

3. Detection:

  • Adjust Sensitivity: Depending on the environment and the type of gas you are detecting, you might need to adjust the sensitivity of the device. Press the "S" key to switch to "Super" mode for higher sensitivity.
  • Begin Scanning: Hold the detector with the sensor end pointed towards the area you want to check for gas leaks. Move the detector slowly and steadily around potential leak points such as gas pipes, connections, and appliances.
  • Monitor Readings: As the detector moves closer to a gas leak source, the flashing light will increase in frequency, indicating a higher concentration of gas in that area.

4. Identifying Leaks:

  • When the detector indicates a high concentration of gas, pause and carefully inspect the area to pinpoint the exact source of the leak. You might need to move the detector around the specific area to locate the exact point of the leak.

5. Safety Precautions:

  • Ventilate: If a gas leak is detected, immediately ventilate the area by opening windows and doors to disperse the gas.
  • Turn Off Gas Supply: If possible, turn off the gas supply to the affected area to prevent further leakage.
  • Do Not Use Open Flames: Avoid using any open flames or creating sparks near the detected gas leak area.
  • Contact Professionals: For significant leaks, contact a professional technician or your gas provider to repair the leak safely.

6. Power Off:

  • After completing the detection process, press the power button to turn off the device. Store the detector in a safe and dry place, away from extreme temperatures and humidity.

7. Maintenance:

  • Regular Check: Regularly check the detector for battery levels and replace the batteries when necessary.
  • Clean Sensor: Keep the sensor clean and free from dust and debris for accurate readings.

Summary

  1. Install batteries and turn on the device.
  2. Allow the device to warm up for 35 seconds.
  3. If needed, press the "S" key to adjust sensitivity to "Super" mode.
  4. Scan the area for gas leaks.
  5. Identify and respond to any detected leaks.
  6. Turn off the device and store it properly.
  7. Perform regular maintenance.

By following these steps, you can effectively use the IVOLWIN GLD6308 Gas Leak Detector to ensure safety in your home or workplace.
